uPVC door grids are used to decorate the glass units of uPVC doors. There are several types of uPVC door grids, depending on their position on the glass. Grids can be placed between the panes of glass, on the interior side of the glass unit, or on the exterior side of the glass unit. Select the desired uPVC door grid type and calculate the price:

uPVC doors grid prices are determined by the materials used, and by the complexity of design. A stock design will be cheaper, while a custom design will be more expensive. The price also depends on the place of mounting: uPVC door grids placed between panes of glass are cheaper than the grids that are put on the surface of the glass unit.

Grids inside the glazing also called inner pane grids are firmly fixed inside a glass unit, between the panes of glass. It is possible to use any available RAL colour. This type of door grids allows cleaning the glass without any obstructions. Moreover, being inside, they do not gather dust and are maintenance-free. However, if looked up from close distance, this type does not provide the depth effect of real divided light uPVC doors. Inner pane grids for uPVC doors are often made of aluminium.
Grids on the glazing can be interior or exterior. Interior grids are placed on the glass unit on the interior side of uPVC doors, so the divided light effect is mainly visible while inside the house. There is an option to use both an interior grid plus an inner-pane grid to create a more authentic look of your uPVC doors (known as duplex). Exterior grids are used when the focus is on the exterior style of the house. In this case, grids are pasted on the exterior side of the glass unit. Removable Door Grids

Some uPVC door grids are glued to the glass permanently while others may be easily removed and replaced. In the latter case, there is a “snap-in” mechanism which allows taking the grids out and putting them back in. Only interior and exterior grids for uPVC doors may have this possibility.

uPVC Door Grid Patterns

uPVC door grid design possibilities are endless, but there are some already established patterns. They evolved in times when only small panes were manufactured. When choosing a grid pattern for your uPVC doors, it is important to consider the architectural style of your house, as well as the general style of the neighbourhood.

Colonial pattern divides uPVC doors glazing into perfect squares or rectangles. It is important to note that rectangles need to be more tall than wide.
Diamond pattern is characterized by oblique grids that create diamond shapes.
Prairie pattern is usually composed of nine divided lights. There is a small square-shaped light in each corner, while the middle is occupied by a large rectangle-shaped light. This pattern is popular nowadays, because it does not obstruct the view as much as other patterns. A Queen Anne pattern is similar to the Prairie pattern, only that each corner light is divided into four squares instead of one.

uPVC Door Grid Specifications

uPVC door grids inside the glazing can be selected from several size and colour options:

8 mm strips in gold, silver, white or another available RAL colour.
18 mm strips. Standard colours are white and brown, other RAL colours available at an additional cost.
25 mm and 26 mm strips. Standard colours are white and brown, other RAL colours available at an additional cost. Possible to laminate in the colour of uPVC doors.

Grids on the glazing are glued to the surface of the glass, and can be either thin 25 mm or thick 45 mm. Colours are selected by the colour of uPVC doors.

uPVC Door Grid Guarantee

uPVC door grids have no separate guarantee, but are included in the general guarantee of uPVC doors, which is outlined in the agreement to be signed prior to the manufacturing process. Grids inside the glazing are more durable compared with grinds that are glued on the surface of the glazing. Durability of grids on the glazing can be enhanced by using duplex.
