Select the desired uPVC door profile to calculate the price. Make your choice based on price, heat insulation or opening type.

  • Select “Economy budget profile”, in order to calculate the price of uPVC doors made of the standard inexpensive profile and suitable for summer houses, residential and office buildings.
  • Select “Passive house profile”, in order to calculate the price of uPVC doors made of a much wider and energy efficient uPVC profile suitable for the passive house.
  • Select “Outward opening profile”, in order to calculate the price of an outward opening uPVC door. This option is available for tilt and turn patio doors and French patio doors (outward opening is already the standard in other types of uPVC doors).

uPVC Door Profile Prices

uPVC doors are made using intricate uPVC structures that are called profiles. uPVC profiles can be wide or narrow, with a complex or simple internal structure; they differ also in the quality of materials used and the country of production. All these factors affect the price of uPVC profiles and, consequently, the price of uPVC doors. uPVC profiles made in Germany or Scandinavian countries have higher prices compared to uPVC profiles made in Poland or China. Wide uPVC profiles with more internal partitions are regarded as more energy efficient and thus cost more. The following table illustrates the main factors that influence the price of uPVC door profiles. Prices may change, so here we provide a general comparison only.

Features of uPVC Door Profiles Low Price High Price

uPVC Door Profile Types

uPVC Profile Chambers

uPVC profiles always involve a multi-chambered structure. This means that a hollow uPVC profile is divided into 3 or more chambers (which in turn are divided into smaller sections) which help to reduce the heat loss. Generally, more chambers mean a better heat and sound insulation. An additional advantage of sections is the increased uPVC profile stability. The number of chambers can be determined by looking at the model of the uPVC profile and counting the number of partitionas that divide the uPVC profile horizontally.

uPVC Door Seals

uPVC door seal or door gasket is a narrow rubber band that is fixed all around the uPVC door, primarily between frame and sash. uPVC door seal is compressed by closing the uPVC door. As there are no remaining gaps around the perimeter (all possible gaps are insulated by the gaskets), no cold, rain or wind can enter the room. Usually there are two or three perimeters of gaskets, depending on the uPVC door type:

  • Two perimeters of door seal is a standard option for residential buildings.
  • Three perimeters of door seal are used in special cases when the best heat and sound insulation is required, e.g. for the passive house.

uPVC doors look better when door seals are invisible from the outside. Therefore many uPVC doors feature low level gasket lines which are almost unnoticeable when the uPVC door is closed. uPVC door gaskets need maintenance once a year; it is advisable to clean the gaskets and apply some silicone solution so that the rubber would retain its sealing properties. uPVC door gaskets come in different colours which can be fitted to the colour of your uPVC doors.

uPVC Profile Aluminium Cladding

uPVC profiles are cheap and feature excellent heat and sound insulation. However, they are not as durable and sturdy as aluminium profiles; their appearance may change as the years go by. uPVC profiles with aluminium cladding join the best features of both materials; such doors are energy efficient, durable and need almost no maintenance. The downside of aluminium cladding is increased uPVC door price. To find out more about aluminium cladding of uPVC doors, please contact our staff.

uPVC Profile Colours

uPVC door profiles have a standard white colour, but upon request they may be laminated with a colourful laminate. There is a choice between available RAL colours, wood grain effect and brushed metal laminate. All uPVC profile colours are durable, resistant to fading, peeling or scratch.

uPVC Door Profile Guarantee

uPVC door profiles are given a 1-40 year guarantee. The exact period depends on the chosen uPVC profile type and is specified in the agreement to be signed before the manufacturing process. uPVC door profiles are guaranteed against discoloration and warping, provided that uPVC door dimensions do not exceed size limitations*.
