Guarantee Information

Guarantee on Windows, Doors and other Products

All products carry a guarantee of a specified period. During this time, faulty products or their components will be repaired free of charge, unless the faults are caused by improper operation or negligence on the part of the customer. In order to be qualified for the full guarantee, please keep the certificate of guarantee, the document of purchase, and the signed agreement. The guarantee is invalid if any one of these documents is missing, or when the faults are a consequence of inadequate operation or handling, or in the event of unforeseeable act of elements such as fire, hurricane, lightning, etc. Information about each product is provided below. Terms and conditions differ in each individual case, so please refer to your signed agreement for further specifications.

uPVC Window and Door Guarantee

uPVC windows come with a 1-10 year guarantee. uPVC doors come with a 5 year guarantee, if not specified otherwise. The guarantee is applicable only when the customer simultaneously orders installation and / or finish of uPVC windows and doors. Otherwise, the guarantee is issued by the company that carries out the installation / finish. Guaranty also covers the following parts of uPVC windows and doors.

uPVC profiles are given a 1-40 year guarantee. The exact period depends on the chosen uPVC profile type and is specified in the agreement to be signed before the manufacturing process. uPVC window profiles are guaranteed against discoloration and warping, provided that the profile dimensions do not exceed size limitations*.
Glazing carries a 1-10 year guarantee against spontaneous fracturing and hermetic sealing failure. No dust or air shall enter the sealed double glazed or triple glazed unit during the specified period, if windows and doors are handled properly.
Furniture or hardware (hinges, locking, and accessories) is covered by a 1-10 year guarantee, if not specified otherwise.
uPVC window and door installation is backed by a 1-5 year guarantee, provided that finish is done within 30 days from the installation.
uPVC window and door finish is given a 1-2 year guarantee.

* Size limitations for uPVC window panels:
White uPVC windows:
fixed windows - depending on the size limitations of window glazing, each border < 3,10 m;
operable windows - 2,10m x 1,05m or 1,50m x 1,50m (height x width).
Coloured uPVC windows:
fixed windows: depending on the size limitations of window glazing, each border < 3,10 m;
operable windows - 2,10m x 1,00m or 1,50m x 1,40m (height x width).

Wooden Window and Door Guarantee

Wooden window and door frames (profiles) usually come with a 5 year guarantee. The exact period depends on the chosen wooden profile and is specified in the agreement to be signed prior to the manufacturing process. Wooden profiles are guaranteed against cracking and splitting as a result of poor production or their weight (provided that relative humidity in the room does not exceed 60 %). Guaranty also covers the following parts of wooden windows and doors.

Glazing carries a 1-10 year guarantee against spontaneous fracturing and hermetic sealing failure. No dust or air shall enter the sealed double glazed or triple glazed unit during the specified period, if windows and doors are handled properly.
Furniture or hardware (hinges, locking, and accessories) is usually covered by a 5 year guarantee, if not specified otherwise. Wooden exterior door hardware usually comes with a 2 year guarantee. Wooden patio door hardware usually comes with a 5 year guarantee. The guarantee ensures that during this period, hinges will sustain the weight of wooden windows and doors, and will not rust or break spontaneously.
Handles and locks of wooden patio doors are usually guaranteed for 2 years.
The coat of paint, stain, or varnish usually comes with a 2-5 year guarantee, depending on the type. After this period, wooden windows and doors should be re-coated*. The guarantee specifies that the coating will not flake or peel during the specified period (provided that relative humidity in the room does not exceed 60 %). The guarantee for paint coat is applied only when the wood surface is annually treated with a special wood balsam.
Aluminium cladding and aluminium drainage strips usually carry a 5 year guarantee. During the specified period, aluminium parts will not bend as a result of climate conditions; the paint of aluminium parts will not peel.
Window and door seals are covered by a 5 year guarantee, if not specified otherwise. Window and door seals will stay elastic and smooth.
Wooden window and door installation is backed by a 1-5 year guarantee, provided that finish is done within 30 days from the installation. The guarantee ensures weather-tightness in the joints between frame and aperture (if weather-tightening is specified in the agreement).
Finish is given a 1-2 year guarantee.

* Recommendations for re-coating:
Light translucent coating on the exterior surface: re-coat after 2 years.
Dark translucent coating on the exterior surface: re-coat after 3 years.
Opaque paint: re-coat after 5 years.

Aluminium Window and Door Guarantee

Aluminium windows and doors usually come with a 5 year guarantee. The guarantee is applicable only when the customer simultaneously orders installation and / or finish of aluminium windows and doors. Otherwise, the guarantee is issued by the company that carries out the installation / finish. Guaranty also covers the following parts of aluminium windows and doors.

Aluminium window glazing carries a 1-10 year guarantee against spontaneous fracturing and hermetic sealing failure. No dust or air shall enter the sealed double glazed or triple glazed unit during the specified period, if the aluminium windows are handled properly.
Aluminium window furniture or hardware (hinges, locking, accessories) is usually covered by a 1-10 year guarantee, if not specified otherwise.
Aluminium window installation is backed by a 1-5 year guarantee, provided that window finish is done within 30 days from the aluminium window installation. The guarantee ensures weather-tightness in the joints between aluminium window frame and aperture (if weather-tightening is specified in the agreement).
Aluminium window finish is given a 1-2 year guarantee.

Balcony and Patio Enclosure Guarantee

Guarantee for balcony and patio enclosures depends on the frame material used. When balcony or patio enclosure is made with uPVC glazing system, the guarantee terms and conditions correspond to the guarantee of uPVC windows. Enclosures made with aluminium glazing system usually carry a 5 year guarantee which covers the enclosure, glazing and installation.

Other Product Guarantee

Security doors come with a 1-5 year guarantee.
Garage doors come with a 2 year guarantee.
Roller blinds come with a 12 month guarantee.
Window blinds come with a 12 month guarantee.
Roller shutters carry a 2 year guarantee.
Fly screens carry a 12 month guarantee.
* Guarantee period may be longer or shorter depending on the product, and is always specified in the agreement. For more information, contact our staff.

Other Conditions

Product guarantee is not applicable if the signed agreement or its supplement contains the statement that guarantee is not provided. If not specified otherwise, faulty parts, unless the faults appeared due to misuse or negligence on the part of the customer, are to be fixed free of charge. If the faulty component is impossible to fix, the manufacturer will undertake the replacement of a faulty product by a new one in a time period agreed with the customer. When, during the inspection of a faulty product, it is determined that the faults have emerged due to misuse or negligence on the part of the customer, or when the claim is unsupported, the customer has to cover the expenses of the inspection (fuel cost, time and others, if any). If there is disagreement about the origin of the faults, the product is to be inspected by independent experts. The customer and the manufacturer are to follow the conclusions provided by the experts.
