Gradual tilt is designed for tilt and turn windows. This device is fitted on the wooden window furniture and expands the opening possibilities. Instead of the standard three opening positions (tilt, open, night vent), you have six positions: four levels of tilt, open, and night vent. This way you can control the amount of air that enters the room.
Locking handle can be locked by using a key. Locking wooden window handles are mostly intended for child safety, but they also add security to wooden windows. In some models, locking handles have a possibility to lock the tilt and turn panel in any position (tilt, open, or night vent).
Security handle is a patent handle for both inward opening and outward opening wooden windows, which increases safety of your property. Wooden window security handles are recommended for ground floor rooms and private houses. The handle has a special construction which prevents opening the wooden window from the outside. Additional security elements. Wooden tilt and turn windows can be equipped with several security bolts called mushroom bolts, which prevent any attempt to lever the wooden window sash. Security level can be chosen individually: mushroom bolts can be fixed in one point, three points, or located all around the wooden window. This is one of the best ways to increase security of your tilt and turn wooden windows.
Sash jammer is an additional locking mechanism designed for inward opening wooden windows. Sash jammer prevents any attempt to forcefully lever the wooden window sash in order to gain illegal entrance. Sash jammer is suitable for many kinds of inward-opening wooden windows and can be mounted even when the wooden window is already installed. Sash jammer is fitted on the wooden window frame by using two screws. You can lock the mechanism by pulling the small metal handle down to cover the junction of the frame and sash of the wooden window. Sash jammers can be additionally equipped with a key locking mechanism which adds even more security.

Handle with button is used to improve child safety at home and is suitable for both inward opening and outward opening wooden windows. The handle can be turned only when holding the button pressed. This is a precaution against accidental window opening by children.
Sash lock for tilt and turn windows is another useful wooden window accessory for families who raise small children. Sash lock device is fitted at the bottom of wooden tilt and turn windows and can be locked using a key. When this device is locked, it is possible to tilt the wooden window or select the night vent facility; but “turn” facility or full wooden window opening is restricted. This helps to prevent accidents and injuries.
Releasable window restrictor or concealed restrictor is primarily used in outward opening wooden windows for child safety. It limits the degree to which a wooden window can be opened thus ensuring that children would not get hurt by accidentally opening the window. Releasable window restrictor is fixed between the window frame and sash of an outward opening wooden window and therefore is unnoticeable when the wooden window is in closed position. When you want to open the wooden window, the restrictor can be easily released manually because of an integral spring mechanism; no key is required. This is a safety feature, as it is easy to release the restrictor quickly in case of an emergency. However, releasable window restrictors do not provide sufficient security for your property, as they are not burglar-proof. Releasable window restrictors are best suitable for casement windows which have no other ventilation facilities; window restrictors provide convenient and safe ventilation.
Fixed window restrictor for outward opening wooden windows is a good option when the window is not intended to be used as an emergency exit. Fixed wooden window restrictors are fixed to the window frame by using screws and can only be released by using a screwdriver. This is beneficial in public buildings where safe ventilation is required, e.g. in hospitals, schools, hotels. Fixed window restrictors may be located on the top, bottom or side part of a wooden window.

Window stop is a small device fitted on inward opening wooden windows, which allows stopping an opened window in a specific point. All you need to do is open the wooden window to the desired degree and push the handle down. This secures the window opening position and allows safe ventilation even when it is windy outside. Window restrictor is designed for inward opening wooden windows. It limits the degree to which wooden window can open up, so that the sash would not hit furniture or interior wall when suddenly opened. Window restrictor is usually set to 90 degrees.

The handle is fitted at the bottom of the wooden window and the window is operated by turning the handle by 90 or 180 degrees. Low profile wooden window handles are made specifically for wooden windows with blinds. Low profile handles are flat and do not hinder the operation of the blinds. Low profile wooden window handles can replace existing handles in espage locking system. However, there is no locking mechanism.

Switch barrier is very useful for tilt and turn windows as it blocks any incorrect positioning of the handle. Tilt and turn wooden windows usually have three opening positions and so the same handle is used to open the window, to select the tilt position and to select the night vent position or micro-ventilation. It is necessary that the wooden window would be closed before choosing another opening facility; otherwise, it may cause damage to the wooden window hardware. Switch barrier is designed to prevent any such incorrect motion; it is fixed close to the handle. Note: switch barrier should not be touched, as the device is sensitive to physical pressure.

Wooden windows come in a variety of styles and therefore have different locking mechanisms. Espagnolette locking or espage locking is the standard mechanism used on many outward opening wooden windows. The metal locking system is fixed on the middle part of the wooden window sash; the window is locked by turning a handle which directs mushroom shaped bolts into keeps. Espage system usually locks in three points, giving the basic level of security. However, all locking points all move in the same direction, so they are not very secure. In addition, espagnolette locking does not reach the corners of the window, which are also important for the overall security of the wooden windows. Espagnolette locking is favoured because of its low price. Due to its low security, it is recommended to choose this type of locking when wooden window security is not very important, e.g. in high-rise buildings.
Double espagnolette locking is a more secure wooden window locking option, suitable for most outward opening wooden windows. It has more locking points (four or more), which move into opposite directions when closed. Compared to the single espagnolette system, where all mushroom bolts are locked in one direction, double espagnolette system provides a much better resistance to forceful opening from the outside. It has a slightly higher price compared to the single espagnolette system.
Shoot bolt locking is an advanced, high-security locking option for outward opening wooden windows. In addition to the mushroom shaped roller bolts in the central part of the wooden window, they have shoot bolts at the top and bottom, which helps to secure the corners. Another improvement is friction points which are situated in the upper and lower part of the wooden window. In total, this locking system has 5 or more locking points that provide high security of your wooden windows. However, shoot bolt locking mechanism has a higher price than standard espagnolette locking. Moreover, when ordering wooden windows with shoot bolt mechanism, it is very important to have all parts fitting perfectly. As shoot bolt mechanism involves more locking points, all the keeps (where those locking points enter when the window is closed) must be located precisely. Otherwise, there may be difficulties in closing the wooden window smoothly and it may wear the wooden window locking mechanism sooner than expected.
Tilt and turn locking differs from other systems in that it is designed for inward opening windows, specifically tilt and turn windows. Wooden windows with this kind of locking are considered highly secure. It usually involves more locking points, which are located around the perimeter of the wooden window sash, thus making it very difficult to break into. The number of locking points varies; it depends on the security level desired by the customer. Tilt and turn locking system requires different handles compared to other locking systems. The handle has to operate 180 degrees, so it is bigger and stronger. Handles for tilt and turn wooden windows can be locking or without locks.
