Roller Shutter Installation Step by Step
Roller shutters must be installed according to the guidelines, in order to achieve their maximum strength and durability. Therefore, installation of roller shutters should be entrusted to an experienced specialist. Roller shutter installation process is described below. This description is relevant to standard roller shutters that are manually controlled by a strap. Note: roller shutters all differ in their construction, so the installation procedure may be different from the one outlined below.
1. Fixing points of guide rails are marked on the frame of the wall / window.
2. A pencil is used to mark the outer limits of guide rails on the top and sides.
3. Roller shutter strap is traced into the interior side of the room. First of all, the location of the hole to be drilled is marked. This will be on the specified side, either left or right. The hole is placed above the guide rail, with the centre of the hole being 15 mm away from the top of the guide rail, and 15 mm away from the outside edge of the guide rail. The hole should be drilled in a 13 mm diameter.
4. A spring is set inside the hole. If the spring is too long, it is trimmed; if the spring is too short, it can be extended.
5. Roller shutter guide rails are attached to the shutter box.
6. Roller shutter construction is held against the wall. Control strap is traced through the hole into the room.
7. Roller shutter guide rails are fixed on the wall in designed locations.
8. Screws are covered with decorative caps.
9. Control strap is fixed in the designed place on the interior wall.
10. Roller shutters are tested for any irregularities.

Roller shutter installation has no separate guarantee, but is included in the general guarantee of roller shutters, which is outlined in the agreement to be signed prior to the manufacturing process.
