1.   Check the size of your new security door, whether it matches your order. If you are replacing an existing door, compare the old door and the new one in order to see if they are exactly of the same size.
2.   Prepare the room for door installation: remove any door decorations and make space around the door opening (aperture). Cover the floor and furniture with protective cloth so that not to damage them. Any electrical appliances should also be covered.
3.   Remove the old door. Be careful when removing old doors so that damage to the aperture would be kept to minimum. Old masonry buildings are more sensitive so it requires expertise to remove the existing doors without causing damage. It is recommended to rely on professionals in such cases. Old doors are then collected for recycling.
4.   Prepare the aperture. Door opening should be cleaned from debris and dust. If the weather is dry, it is advised to moisten the surface. This way polyurethane foam will stick better.
5.   Remove the sash of the security door by lifting it off the security door hinges. Place it aside to prevent damage.
6.   Place the frame into the aperture. There have to be small gaps for insulation around the security door perimeter, 10 mm to 20 mm wide. Door packers made of wood or plastic are used to set and secure the frame in place. Check whether the security door frame is set correctly by using a spirit level or another device to measure verticality and horizontality of the security door frame. Also determine whether the frame is a square by measuring the corners or comparing diagonal lengths. If there are any inaccuracies, use door wedges to further adjust the frame position. All provided hubs are then screwed through the frame until they reach the wall.
7.   Predrill holes into the aperture. Holes are drilled through the hubs into the wall. If the aperture is made of wood or concrete, holes should be 6 mm wide; if the aperture is made of bricks, holes should be 10 mm wide (different hubs are used in this case). Holes are made at least 70 mm deep.
8.   Fix the security door frame into the aperture, using appropriate bolts or anchors. Start from the hinge side of the door. Use spirit level throughout this stage to check the verticality and horizontality of the security door frame.
9.   Paste the door seal all around the security door perimeter.
10.   Place the sash back on security door hinges. If necessary, adjust the sash position on the hinges with a screwdriver.
11.   Fix the handle and locks.
12.   Adjust the security door hardware. Check whether the security door can be opened and closed smoothly and whether the locks operate correctly. If necessary, make adjustments. You may have to re-adjust the hardware again after several days or weeks after installation, because it takes time for the sash to settle.
13.   Seal the perimeter of the security door by using polyurethane foam or another door sealant. It is recommended to leave the security door for 24 hours to allow for the foam to settle (security doors should stay closed during this time).
14.   Fit security door trimming around both the interior and exterior of the security door. Hide
