Garage Door Installation Prices
Garage door installation prices depend on the size of garage doors: the larger and heavier is the garage door, the higher is the price. When garage doors are installed without electric opener, the price is lower. If an electric opener is installed together with the garage door, the price is higher.
Importance of Garage Door Installation
Garage doors feature a complex mechanism, so it is recommended that they are installed by a specialist. If garage doors are installed improperly, the gliding can be less smooth; garage door may wear sooner than expected. What is more, insulation of garage doors can be harmed. When installed properly, garage doors will provide years of reliable service. Note: garage doors feature tension or torsion springs that can be extremely dangerous if suddenly engaged. Take caution when installing or repairing garage doors; in all cases, consult a specialist for a safe installation or repair.
Garage Door Installation Step by Step
Garage door installation procedure depends on the type of garage doors selected, and can be different from the one outlined below. This step by step garage door installation guide shows a generalised installation procedure of sectional garage doors.
1. Garage door opening is prepared for installation. Old garage doors are removed if relevant.
2. Fixing locations are marked in the interior side of the garage door opening. Another mark is made 1 m level from the floor.
3. Vertical tracks are installed on both sides of the garage door opening.
4. Bottom rail is placed in between the tracks and fixed to both of them using screws.
5. Horizontal tracks are fixed on each side of garage door opening, along the ceiling.
6. Garage door spring shaft with springs is fixed above the garage door opening.
7. Garage door sections are fixed to vertical tracks one by one.
8. Electric opener is installed, if relevant.
9. Operation of garage doors is tested. Moving parts are adjusted accordingly. If an electric opener is used, this is the time to connect it to electricity.
When installed by a professional, this procedure takes 2 to 3 hours.

Garage door installation usually carries a 5 year guarantee, if not specified otherwise. Guarantee period is always outlined in the agreement to be signed prior to the manufacturing process.
